ProfitLens ("the app", "we") is a profit analytics app for Shopify, operated by Performetic. This policy explains what data we process when you install the app, why we process it, and the choices you have.
Data we collect
Store information: your myshopify.com domain, store currency and the settings you configure in the app (language, cost defaults, notification preferences).
Order data: order identifiers, amounts (totals, discounts, refunds, taxes, shipping), line items, shipping country and an anonymised customer identifier used only for cohort analytics. We do not store customer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses.
Cost data you enter: product costs, expenses, shipping rules and fee settings.
Ad platform data: if you connect Meta Ads or Google Ads, we store the account identifiers, access tokens and daily spend totals. We never post, edit or manage your ads — access is read-only.
Contact email: only if you enable email reports or alerts.
How we use data
We use this data for one purpose: calculating and showing your store's profitability. That includes dashboards, reports, email digests and alerts you explicitly enable.
We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Legal basis
We process data to perform our contract with you (providing the app you installed) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service.
Where data lives and who processes it
Data is stored on servers operated by Performetic in the European Union (Hetzner). Order data reaches us through Shopify's APIs under your authorisation. If you connect ad accounts, spend data reaches us through Meta and Google APIs under the permissions you grant there.
Retention and deletion
When you uninstall the app, all of your store's data — orders, costs, settings, connections and tokens — is deleted automatically.
We also honour Shopify's GDPR webhooks: customer data requests, customer redaction and shop redaction are processed automatically.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access tokens are stored server-side and are never exposed to your browser. Access to production systems is restricted.
Your rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data. Uninstalling the app deletes everything; for any other request, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

We may update this policy as the app evolves; material changes will be noted in the app.
